WHAT IS NETLAND:
A monthly international electronic magazine dedicated to the
news in the independent computer network world. NetLand was
created to give the independent networks a vehicle for
disseminating information about their respective networks to
SYSOPS and users.
Each issue will contain notices submitted by various networks
and the most current listing of Adam Michlin's NETSALL.ART. The
publisher hopes that either members of nets, or others interested
in the field will also contribute articles concerning the
Alternative Networks.
We'd love to see articles comparing the FIDO technology based
versus the QWK based networks, the pros and cons of independent
operation and virtually any topic about independent networks that
will be of interest to our viewers.
Many network operators have developed a large following of
dedicated BBS members, others are just beginning to enter the
field. ALL of the networks offer some measure of unique service,
and NetLand is the perfect place to make others aware of these
benefits.
DISTRIBUTION:
Distribution of NetLand will be accomplished by either
FREQing using the magic name of NETLAND from The Barter Board at
any of the network addresses listed above, or via the EP-MAG File
Echo on both the Fido Backbone and Planet Connect.
Authors are encouraged to make NetLand available for download
by their users and FREQable by other SYSOPS.
THANKS:
Special thanks to Michael Gibbs for producing ReadRoom, and
Adam Michlin for allowing us to publish his NETSALL.ART and
making the OTHERNETS echo available to all of us.
